This is the largest 4:3 on-camera prompter available. There is a difference between 4:3, and larger 16:9 displays out there. 4:3 works better for prompting, giving the reader more vertical space. This allows for more lines displayed, with taller letters, than with a greater diagonal 16:9 monitor. See the diagram below.
This particular display and mirror combination allows for reading distances of around 30ft. One teenager was able to read it at 40 feet — That is a long way. So, if you are looking for teleprompter display for either a long distance, like a wide set, or a long swooping shot on a jib, or with a talent who has eyesight issues, this one is for you. This display will also work really well if you want to prompt with PowerPoint or use it within an Interrotron system.
