How does Boston University celebrate the completion of a 7 year capital campaign? They put on a show at their Agganis Arena which included flying figure skaters, their hockey team and marching band, the Boston Pops, medallions for everyone in the audience which were remote controlled to create lighting effects in the stands, 17 projectors to create images on the entire ice, two giant drop down screens, one of which was three sided and who knows how many cameras. Oh, and they hired ECS Video Systems to provide teleprompters on two stages at opposite ends of the ice. No small challenge there. It was our pleasure to be part of the celebration.
Can’t get your talent to look at the lens? Perhaps our EyeDirect can help. It has been known to work with dogs as well!

ECS Video Systems was pleased to rent their Microdolly jib to a corporate client for a recent shoot in Boston. It was a testimonial situation and the jib was used along with two other cameras to add cut-aways and movement to the production. Our Microdolly jib has the ability to get your camera around 10 feet off the ground and has a 40 pound capacity. With remote pan and tilt capabilities it gives a lot of bang for your production buck. Feel free to give us a call if you would like to learn more.
This week ECS Video Systems used its new CueScript CSM17 prompter display on a shoot for a local publisher. Readable from as much as 25 feet, this new display is much lighter than our older 17 inch display. It can even be configured to work with a small DSLR with no counterweight which allows for it to be used on a standard ENG tripod. This new display is high bright outdoor readable and has composite, HDMI and HD-SDI inputs. Give us a call if you would like to learn more about this display.
ECS Video Systems was pleased to provide prompter services last week to Michelle Obama’s book tour. The event was held at the TD Garden in Boston and there were over 11,000 in attendance.
